Todd Dennis The Pearl of Great Price is NOT Preterism!

Todd Dennis "Surely you can recognize that Full Preterism isn't the pearl of great price that Christians have been searching for all these years... that, in fact, it is NOT a divinely inspired system, and therefore, is liable to error.. just as the creeds."

"1) The transition from "this age" to "the coming age" is not in AD70, it is in Jesus Christ -- "This World/Age" is the natural world and "The Coming World/Age" is the heavenly. That which is coming comes in Jesus Christ, as well, not history. (Luke 20:35 "found *worthy* to attain that age" ; II Cor 5:17 "if any be in Christ, old things pass away, all things made new")

2) AD70, like all prophetically fulfilled moments in ancient Israel's history, was just a symbol -- The true substance of prophetic fulfillment is in Jesus Christ. Every aspect of revelation given through natural Israel only points to that fulfillment, which instead of being external, natural and historical is internal, spiritual and personal. AD70 was a revelation of everlasting spiritual things. Symbols do not symbolize themselves. They are given to reveal heavenly realities... not simply themselves.. or more historical events (al a partial preterism and futurism).

3) The New Testament is for today -- We are in the same dispensation as the first century church. Their tensions are our tensions. We must all make the transition from darkness to light, we must all through tribulation enter the kingdom. What was revealed externally then is the show of that which is revealed internally now. Like all revelation, it goes from natural to spiritual... not natural to natural (as though every previous historical generation pointed to the historical "last days" generation)."
