It is funny how many times, I have seen quotes like the ones listed below and I realize how common I see this within Preterist circles. Reading the bible must be read as a history book, as mere past events, which does nothing more than to seperate Christianity from its foundation and roots. Coty as well as others think the preservation of the Bible was ONLY so we could read someone else's mail. And yet, their path and our paths are somehow fundamentally different becuase we live AFTER 70AD and not before it. And by making such a claim, this somehow promotes the idea that the bible is still relevant to our lives???? Charles Coty "It is of immense value to realize that when we read the Bible we are reading someone else’s mail." "By the mere fact that God meticulously preserved the Scripture for us is testimony to the fact that the Bible has every bit the relevance today as it did 2,000 years ago. "
AND YET, Coty says we must ideally put on those glasses warn by Jesus, Peter, Paul, and John. How ironic, especially if, as Coty claims "was someone elses mail!"
