Kurt Simmons: "The problem in your assertion that Paul makes the connection between sin and the law (I Cor. 15:56) is that you assume it is the law of Moses that is referred to. Adam, Noah, Abraham, men today, are not under that law and yet were/are under the power of sin, so it clearly is NOT the law of Moses Paul refers to. Moreover, it is not in annulling the law that sin is defeated, but in the atoning sacrifice of Christ. The law still exists! The law of sin and death (you sin/you die) was extant in the garden and is extant now and underlies every commandment of God. This law convicts now as much as it ever did. And if men (apart from Christ) are as much under condemnation now as they were under the Mosaic law, how can its removal have brought about the "resurrection" (justification) King asserts? How can removal of the old ceremonial law of Moses bring a resurrection? Please answer that. Surely, all can see the whole premise of King's Covenant Eschatology is false; I Cor. 15:56 is not even talking about the Mosaic law! "
