Davo: You say you're looking for prĂȘteristic consistency, well let's look at this: IF the death [separation] you reference be "the death" that came to ALL men [Rom 3:23] through the first Adam [1Cor 15:22a] and THAT death [separation] was "the death" that WAS destroyed through Israel's AD70 lake of fire; along with its powerful appendages of the sin and the law and the devil [1Cor 5:56; Rev 20:10]; THEN "the death" [separation] that Adam's sin passed onto ALL men IS GONE, i.e., through the sacrifice of the last Adam [1Cor 15:22b] Israel's redemption has been realised and reconciliation established for ALL [Heb 9:26]. IOW – If death still has its sting [sin], then we MUST conclude that sin still has its strength [the law], which means that Christ is yet to be "the end of the law" IF indeed the last enemy [death/separation] to be destroyed HAS NOT YET HAPPENED [???] – thus leaving us STILL under sin, death, law and Satan.
