Preterist continue to mess up their logic. Simmons wrongly maintains by his Syllogisms that "Legal condemnation exists today despite the annulment of the Mosaic law" and "There was no spiritual resurrection based upon annulment of the Mosaic law." This is due to the critical errors of 70ad being to historical point in time where old things end and new things begin. The removal of sin and death is not tied to a historical period of time, but due to people dying to the old man through the power of the cross. Simmons logic is confused by his own 70ad assumptions and shows that he is thinking pre- post- 70ad periods rather than a pre- post- conversion period which encompasses every generation. Preterists wrongly assume a historic period, rather than seeing it reflective of a period of death which is tied to the flesh, verses a period of life which is tied to the spirit. The old things never end in history. They do in fact end at the cross when one dies in the likeness of Christ to this present world. Being born again into the new, is the essence of what the resurrection is all about, which is representative of the annulment of the covenant that all men have to the flesh. If this covenant is not broken by the cross as you personally die to the old man, then how can one enter into the new covenant? How does the old mosaic covenant end in 70ad when that which is representative by the old mosaic covenant is still in effect for those who live after the flesh?Kurt Simmons
