I believe the millennium was fulfilled “shortly” after John penned the Apocalypse, at the establishment of the new Jerusalem. It is compelling to me to interpret the 1,000 years of Rev. 20 spiritually as the time from Christ’s ministry to His return at AD 70, from the beginning of the end, to the end.
