There are no more pieces of the gospel story that await accomplishment. What the gospel was in A.D. 71, it is today, and will be 10,000,000,000 years from now. There’s no more “emerging” to be done, because it is already done. The process was consummated nearly 2,000 years ago. The process philosophy of the Emergent cult is at its root wholly incompatible with preterism.
